Silence seems to speak its language…vague and strange…I lay still. My dark room seems solemn , the air thick with uncertainties.Lost angels weeping tears. So faint. Drizzles- plays a rhythm on my window paint…With slow and steady steps…I walk to a stained mirror .. My face seems pale, my breath maps a patch of vapor ..
My reflection seems lifeless…dark…cold…and hard...with eyes piercing deep ..searching for the third one - wanderers of the silence….refugees from the light tunnel…am I alone?
Reflection of lost eyes….smudges with life’s torments ..calm,dark and deep as ocean..brown iris with dark lines, converging in, or diverging out? i stare deep…a mole on my iris…unnoticed for quarter a century! Who’s reflection is this? What more lies hiding?Yes, I’m not alone.A stranger…in me…
“I”?...an alien to me. “me”?-A foreigner I am…this reflection…stays calm..Angels have stop weeping…The long forgotten gods crying…..the rain grew heavy…
A stranger I am….silence seems to speak its language..strange as it used to be…

Saffron string..
I sat still..reflecting all that has passed.A hailstorm of no end , it seemed to be.In mere moments, the sweet scent of sandalwood shook me out of my deepest thoughts..A Buddhist monk...with hands as warm as ma's...with his frail hand, crimson skin, reached for my head which by then seemed heavy and dark as the night sea.His eyes seemed glassy clear, yet dark like an endless tunnel...A reflection of my life, in a stranger's eyes.I looked deep into him...and realized...the storm had just begun...and the worst is yet to come. With my emotions stoned and hard as a diamond, i sit still, and await for the future...

When destiny has its plan...
This story has been a foundation to many things in my life of late...the very basic, importance of education and knowledge! Ignorance is NEVER bliss.Simply a mode of destruction and a state of denial it is!Knowledge is godliness as it's a saviour of the offspring and mankind.
He was a contended poor Scottish farmer. One fine day, while trying to make a living for his family, he heard a cry for help coming from a nearby marshland. With no hesitance, he ran towards the shrill voice. There, mired to his waist in black mud, was a young lad, struggling to free himself. The farmer saved the lad from what could have been a slow and terrifying death. The next day, a fancy carriage pulled up to the Scotsman's sparse land. An elegantly dressed nobleman stepped out and introduced himself as the father of the lad the farmer had saved the previous day.
"I want to repay you," said the nobleman. "You saved my son's life.""No, I can't accept payment for what I did," the Scottish farmer replied waving off the offer. At that moment, the farmer's own son came running and clanged to his father's muddy jumpers .
"Is that your son?" the nobleman asked."Yes," the farmer replied proudly."I'll make you a deal. Let me provide him with the level of education which I'll provide my own son. He will do us proud someday. Or even the world! And that he did...
The farmer's son attended the very best schools and in time, graduated from St. Mary's Hospital Medical School in London, and went on to become known throughout the world with the discovery of the first known antibiotic, savior of mankind!-penicillin
Years afterward, the same nobleman's son who was the young lad saved from the marshland was stricken with pneumonia. What saved his life this time? Penicillin.
The name of the rich nobleman? Lord Randolph Churchill.
His son's name? Sir Winston Churchill.Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1940 to 1945 and again from 1951 to 1955.
The farmer's son? Sir Alexander Fleming,-Discoverer of Penicillin-1945 Nobel Laureate in Medicine for "the discovery of penicillin and its curative effect in various infectious diseases". Saviour of mankind.
A vaccine for HIV / AIDS? A cure for cancer? The potential discoverer may be an unborn child, a little boy with mud between his feet in the slumps of Mumbai, or even the kid who extended his hand in shame last nite just to fill his collapsing tummy...knowledge...education...to me, is the sixth basic element!

heaven has it all...
Another boring day.....being a typical back-bencher I can't help but to let my uncontrollable mind wonder around like a moth in a dark, damp room...
The paper on my desk looked irresistibly white! My left-handedness got the better of me!I sneaked my hand into my portable Amazon( my bag :p) and yes, the lecture's voice was no longer audible, as i found a pen!!! :)
I scribbled haphazardly till I saw Darsh drowsy and confused by my side.She was stuck on the bridge between the island of reality and the island of dreamland! Yes, I gotta do my friend some justice, so i tried to pull her over to the reality side with one simple question.I scribbled;
what's life?
with a lag and much agitation, my buddy Darsh replied :
*heaven*
And now...i know it for sure! Darsh is stuck on the bridge! To avoid a punch, I asked no further questions.
I sat still, quietly, till it hit my head...she unconsciously made so much sense! Life is heaven.....nothing more nor less. So what is it like in heaven? No one knows..but a bunch of assumptions has kept evil expectations and imaginations fly high. That's what life is. When i was a kid, being a teen seemed great, as that was how is was made to look by my sister. When I was a teen, hitting 21 seemed paradise with no limitations because once again, that's how they made it look! Just like heaven, no one knows what to expect. Yet, the ideas we have of it might be mere deceptions.Just like life....it may not be anything more than mirage...a pool of water in the scorching desert...the closer you get, the disappointment peak up high. Heaven...does it really exist...and life? Our perception about both is as unsteady as a shallow pool of water...which would evaporate in no time..how similar! Illusions.....
Darsh is in dreamland....and i sit still..confused...

Life seems to be a cycle...of day and night! Old pirates sing...~~get through the darkness and tomorrow will be a brighter day~~But when destiny has its say, and the darkness seems endless...all i have is a candle of hope. hope, hope, and hope! My head feels heavy,i've got the 'evil one ' in my hand! Candle of hope- the candle to the dark realms.I feel a chill down my spine.....where has it led me to..?
-GAYU~in the lost realms-
Hope..seems to be the faith of many. When i told my mum to stop hoping, she paused, and looked deep into my eyes. The maternal chemistry! (if that's what they call it). I could read her mind like an open book...what's life without hope? I could hear these words cooing in her mind.Yet, with hope, comes expectations...and disappointment as a constant shadow.A lesson learnt from Life , my constant teacher. The mind is peaceful and serene till it learns this emotion-hope.A potentially mitigating force.
The greek myth has it ;Pandora the first lady created as a result of seductive gifts given by each Greek god as ordered by Zeus, a punishment for the sins of mankind .Pandora brought her jar-the pitos with the evils and opened it. It was the gods' gift to man, on the outside it was beautiful and enticing .Then all the five winged beings, flew out of it-greed, slander, envy, vanity and pining . they roam around and do harm to men . One single evil had not yet slipped out of the jar- Elpis, the personification of Hope! As Zeus had wished, Pandora slammed the top down and it remained inside. One fine day, as ordered by Zeus, Pandora released Hope(Elpis) because men started taking his life.It was Elpis which built up expectations in men and convinced men to prolong their lives as their sufferings will soon end. If only they knew that hope, is the most evil of evils because it prolongs man's torment. Elpis! Child of Nyx and mother of Pheme( goddess of rumor). The Greeks have it all!
Hope is simply a negative emotion which prevents acceptance.
When I was six, i wished and hoped for the rain to stop ;to run out and play.
When I was thirteen, i wished and hoped for the rain to stop ;to go for a swim.
When I was sixteen, i wished and hoped for the rain to stop ;to sneak out and meet my friends.
When I was seventeen, i wished and hoped for the rain to stop; as I might get sleepy in my biology class!
And finally, now it has been 24 years away from the womb, 24 years closer to death, and till last nite i wished for the rain to stop, not because I wanna play, swim, or chuckle with my buddies. They were mere excuses and i was too afraid to admit. The pour of tears of the long forgotten gods-rain simply made me think so hard that my skin would tighten like the scales of Angitia-the goddess of snake. But today, I'm breaking the cycle.let it rain and let the breeze blow on my face.I lay on the lush green grass of my garden...pampered with the smell of frangipanis and fresh pines...thanks to the rain....no tears of the forgotten ones...but drops from heaven!
Yes, today, I've learned to hope no more...acceptance has set in..life seems lighter..
